New Greenhouse
The new greenhouse has been put into use at our breeding station in Rilland. This greenhouse meets all the demands of C. Meijer B.V’s breeding program. The possibility to control the climate has been greatly improved in particular, compared to that of the old greenhouse.
This is important to our breeding program because we do not want to avoid producing new varieties that are difficult to breed.

The new greenhouse The first sown seeds for cultivated seedlings are growing
in the greenhouse. These will be pricked out in about 2
weeks, so we can harvest the clones around the second
half of June.
The molecular laboratory will be ready for use in the third week of March. In this laboratory we can determine whether the selected plant varieties carry certain features by using DNA analysis.
