News July 2007:
The experimental site in Seville is an important location for testing tolerance against heat and climate fluctuations.
Our second year seedlings will be tested here and the results contribute to the final selection next July. Apart from the
second years seedlings there is also an experimental plot with all candidate varieties. Some notable varieties were Orchestra,
Soprano and CMK1999-079-034.

This year Guus Heselmans was accompanied by his new colleague in the breeding station, Jan-David Driesprong,. As a breeder, Jan-David will support the commercial program and furthermore implement improved techniques for breeding in our company.

In 1999 Soprano was between more than 2,200 other second years and at that time it had the highest scores.
So much to the good that the experimental plot has been next to a commercial plot for Soprano for the third year
in a row now, and again the new variety lived up to its expectations.
