Pieperpad
"The website www.pieperpad.nl has been launched, and a press report will be placed on our website. In the meanwhile, here is some information!
By organizing various activities throughout Holland, we would like to bring attention to this beautiful Dutch product, full of vitamins, and making us the world market leader!
The potato is a piece of cultural heritage that we should cherish, and besides, it is one of the biggest food crops in the world. Today people seem to be more and more alienated from their food as well as how it is grown and flourishes in the fields. This is why we want to bring it bakc to the public. |

One of the activities that will take place this spring is an almost 1100 kilometre long cycling tour. Included in the routes the cycling tour will follow among the potato farmers, is the so-called Pieperpad! The Pieperpad runs from the Frisian clay, via Flevoland, Utrecht and South Holland to the Zealand clay. On the way, the tour will call on potato farmers, restaurants where a dish of the local potatoes can be consumed, and Bed & Breakfasts for the cyclist who wants to cycle for more than a day. The cycling tour will also pass through nature reserves and places of interest.
The Pieperpad can be found in an ANWB guide that will be available via the website from mid-June. "
